A report from the Minneapolis Convention Center—the site of this summer’s UUA General Assembly—highlights GA’s successful environmental initiatives. No waste from the five-day convention ended up in landfills, with 76 percent of all waste recycled or composted. In addition, the convention center and on-site food service vendors exceeded the UUA’s targets for sustainable food practices by 10 percent.
