The Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt, minister of the Fourth Universalist Society in New York City, was arrested outside of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office with six other faith leaders Thursday during a protest of proposed human services budget cuts. (SoHo Journal – 3.8.12)

Suspect caught in theft from church

Liuzzo’s legacy, a new UU mystery novel, and more

UU Viola Liuzzo, who went to Alabama for the Selma to Montgomery civil rights march and was killed by the Ku Klux Klan, is the subject of a new play. This week was the anniversary of the Bloody Sunday attack that drew UUs to Selma in 1965. (Shreveport Times – 2.20.12)
